A non-judgemental space to look honestly at drinking, using, gambling, or any pattern that's stopped feeling like a choice — without needing to have it all figured out before you come in.
Addiction rarely shows up on its own — it's usually tangled up with anxiety, trauma, grief, or simply a way of coping that worked once and has become harder to put down. Counselling here isn't about being told to stop; it's about understanding what the behaviour is doing for you, so you have a real choice about whether to keep doing it.
This work can sit alongside other supports you're already using — a GP, an addiction service, a 12-step group — or it can be the main place you're working through it. I also offer dedicated recovery coaching, a more structured, goal-focused option for people maintaining recovery alongside or after clinical treatment.
If you're in a medical emergency related to substance use (overdose, withdrawal risk), please call 999 or go to your nearest Emergency Department rather than waiting for a session.
